About the Centre
Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre (KCARC) is a vibrant, family-friendly facility that plays an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the local community. Open year-round, the centre features a 25-metre indoor pool, a purpose-built Learn to Swim pool, a fully equipped gym and three multi-purpose courts, creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to be active.
About the role
As the Operations Coordinator at Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre, you will manage the Duty Manager and Lifeguard teams. You will oversee recruitment and onboarding for your teams and support with employee training and development in addition to rostering and timesheets. You will ensure the daily operations of the centre are in line with contractual requirements, quality systems and industry guidelines. You will manage Health & Safety, Risk and Environment. You will oversee all facility maintenance and strategic asset management including contractor relationships.
This is a full-time position with a salary of $73,668 + Super & Y benefits.
About you
- 1-2 years leadership experience in aquatic facility operations.
- Your demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills enable you to inspire and engage our duty manager team.
- You possess strong organisational and multitasking abilities, allowing you to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise tasks.
- You will have a comprehensive understanding of risk management practices and safety management systems

- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Aquatic Technical Operator
Desirable Qualifications
- Working at Heights Training
- Enter and work in confined spaces
