About the Centre

Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre (GRAC) is a state-of-the-art recreation centre located in the heart of Traralgon, Victoria and is owned by Latrobe City Council, and managed by YMCA Victoria. We run a variety of fitness and swim programs and memberships to suit adults and children. The centre houses a Gym, three Group Fitness Rooms, Indoor 50m Pool, Outdoor 25m Pool, Indoor Warm Water Pool, Indoor designated Learn to Swim Pool, Spa/Sauna/Steam Room, two large Water Slides, Aqua Playground and on site Café.

About the Role 

As a Senior Centre Coordinator at GRAC, you will take responsibility for the leadership of the Frontline areas with administrative support including Customer Service & Cafe teams. Other key responsibilities of this role include;

  • Overseeing recruitment and onboarding for your team and support with employee training and development in addition to rostering and timesheets.
  • Providing direct support to the Centre Manager and form part of the center's leadership and act as second in Charge while supporting the overall operations at the facility.
  • General Customer Service support and assistance
  • General administration including creating schedules on and timesheet processing
  • Clerical duties including typing and basic data entry
  • Completing any other site duties as required

This is a full-time position with a salary between $76,884 - $86,349 per annum + super, experience dependent.

About You 

  • 2-3 years leadership experience in aquatic facility operations.
  • Your demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills enable you to inspire and engage our duty manager team.
  • You possess strong organisational and multitasking abilities, allowing you to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise tasks.
  • You will have a comprehensive understanding of risk management practices and safety management systems

Essential Qualifications   

  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate

Desired Qualifications

  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Aquatic Technical Operator Certificate
