About the Centre
Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre (GRAC) is a state-of-the-art recreation centre located in Traralgon, Victoria. We run a variety of fitness and swim programs and memberships to suit adults and children. So whether you're looking for a new gym, group fitness classes, personal training, lap swimming or swimming lessons - we have something for everyone. Our facilities and pools cater to people of all abilities and our qualified staff are ready to help to reach your fitness and nutrition goals.
About the Role
As an Infant and Preschool Swim Teacher at Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre, you will design and implement lesson plans that foster swimming skills in children from infancy through school age. You will combine stroke development with water safety to boost your students' confidence and abilities in the water. Your role will include:
- Structure and design of lessons with appropriate activities that challenge and develop your students swimming and water safety ability
- Recommending students for level progression as appropriate
- Teaching and modeling effective problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills
This is a casual role with an hourly rate of $33.37 p.h + super & Y Benefits.
About You
You will be passionate about inspiring and developing water safety and swimming skills in children and young people. Experience in other teaching or coaching roles is a bonus but not necessary. Personal attributes such as patience, respect, and enthusiasm will take you far as a Swim Teacher!

Essential Qualifications
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Infant and Preschool Aquatics Certificate
- Accredited Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
