About the Centre

The Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre (HALC) is one of 4 facilities in Boroondara, and is owned by City of Boroondara and managed proudly by The Y. The facility contains a 750m2 Health Club, 3 program rooms, an outdoor 50m pool, indoor pool, café, sauna, and child care services.

About the role

As a Health & Fitness Instructor at Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to transforming lives and fostering a culture of well-being. In this pivotal role, you'll inspire, motivate, and educate individuals to achieve their health and fitness goals, providing personalised support tailored to their unique needs. With your strong leadership skills and passion for customer service, you'll create a supportive and inclusive environment where every member feels valued and engaged. Enjoy the flexibility of a casual position while experiencing the fulfilment of positively impacting lives every day.

This is a casual position and the hourly rate is $38.35 + Superannuation + Y Benefits.

Essential Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Fitness or approved equivalent
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
• Maintain current AUSactive registration
