About the Centre

Corangamite Shire operates six outdoor swimming pools - Camperdown, Cobden, Lismore, Skipton, Terang and Timboon. Whether it's a dip to cool off, a splash for fun, learning to swim or lap swimming, users will not be disappointed with the range of activities and programs at each of the pools.

About the Roles

• Lifeguard- help provide a safe swimming environment for all centre visitors. You’ll be patient, focused and friendly to keep pool-users informed and safe. This is a casual position with an hourly rate up to $33.37 + Super.
• Duty Manager- have delegated authority of the Centre Manager, and will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services whilst at the same time managing a range of centre functions. This is a casual position with an hourly rate up to $40.38 + Super.

About You

We are seeking motivated, organised and pro-active team members to come and join the team. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and all facility users. Other required qualities are:

• Ability to make decisions while under pressure
• Being able to manage conflicts with patrons and users
• Ability to stay alert and vigilant in a repetitive work environment
• Ability to multitask
• Providing excellent customer service for all members and guests
• Experience in the Aquatics and Leisure industry will be highly regarded

Essential Qualifications

• Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
