About the Centre
Corangamite Shire operates six outdoor swimming pools - Camperdown, Cobden, Lismore, Skipton, Terang and Timboon. Whether it's a dip to cool off, a splash for fun, learning to swim or lap swimming, users will not be disappointed with the range of activities and programs at each of the pools.
About the Roles
- Lifeguard- help provide a safe swimming environment for all centre visitors. You’ll be patient, focused and friendly to keep pool-users informed and safe. This is a casual position with an hourly rate up to $33.37 + Super.
- Duty Manager- have delegated authority of the Centre Manager, and will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services whilst at the same time managing a range of centre functions. This is a casual position with an hourly rate up to $40.38 + Super.
About You
We are seeking motivated, organised and pro-active team members to come and join the team. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and all facility users. Other required qualities are:
- Ability to make decisions while under pressure
- Being able to manage conflicts with patrons and users
- Ability to stay alert and vigilant in a repetitive work environment
- Ability to multitask
- Providing excellent customer service for all members and guests
- Experience in the Aquatics and Leisure industry will be highly regarded
Essential Qualifications
- Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
