About the Centre
Boroondara Sports Complex contains several health and fitness programs to better the lives of the local community. This includes a 50 meter outdoor pool, 5 basketball courts for multi-purpose use (including Junior Futsal and Mixed Netball competitions), Health Club facility with modern equipment, rooms specifically used for Group Fitness classes, a Gymnastics program and childcare.
About the role
Joining our team as the Health & Wellness Team Leader at Boroondara Sports Complex means becoming part of a vibrant and inclusive community. We value teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement and are passionate about connecting communities with physical activity.
You will play a key role within the Boroondara Sports Complex leadership team, driving the performance outcomes for the health and wellness team while providing a high quality and robust programming schedule, focusing of driving participation and member retention. In this role you will oversee our health club and group fitness programs portfolios. You will be a considered decision maker and will be able to manage a multitude of tasks, utilising strong time management and organisational skills.
You will also assist the Manager by working as part of the Manager on Duty roster, where they provide support to customers and staff across all areas of the facility.
This is a permanent full time position with an hourly rate of $31.24-$31.67 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications. A part time position will be considered for suitable candidates.
As a full time role, this will consist of 20 hours of administration and 18 hours of direct service; this service may include manager on duty, health and wellness direct service or customer service officer direct service.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the health and fitness industry and eager to to learn the ropes and play a key role within the leadership team.

- Be approachable and personable, with a customer focused approach to your work
- Well acquainted with current trends in the health and fitness industry
Essential Qualifications
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- Minimum Certificate III in Fitness
- Current registration with AUSactive
Other Desirable Skills
- Leadership experience
- Relevant diploma or equivalent
- Sport and Recreation and/or Facility Operations experience
