About the Centre
Macleod Recreation and Fitness Centre is conveniently located at 157 Wungan Street, Macleod. It offers gym facilities that provide group fitness classes and personal training. Macleod also runs a variety of sport programs for children and adults (basketball, dance, martial arts, gymnastics), and offers birthday parties and school holiday programs for children.
About the Role
The Team Leader is responsible for delivering engaging, inclusive, and high-quality birthday party, sport and recreation programs. The role involves planning, coordinating, and leading stadium-based activities that promote participation, skill development, and community connection.
They facilitate programs for children, young people, schools, and community groups, focusing on coaching, leading sessions, and creating a supportive environment for all abilities. Key duties include scheduling programs, preparing sessions, setting up equipment, and ensuring activities are safe and engaging.
The role also builds partnerships with schools, clubs, and community organisations, contributing to program growth and creating more opportunities for community participation.
This is a part-time position (15 hours/week) and the hourly rate is $33.87 + Super & Y Benefits. This role requires evening work and occasional weekends.
About You
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills are essential in this role, as the Team Leader will regularly engage with participants, families, community partners and centre staff.
- Someone who is proactive, energetic and passionate about helping people develop confidence, skills and a lifelong connection to sport and physical activity.

Essential Qualification
- First Aid
- CPR
- Customer service or program delivery experience
- Leadership experience
- Sport and Recreation and/or Facility Operations experience
