As part of the RecWest Braybrook team, you will play an important role in delivering a welcoming and high-quality experience for all visitors to the centre. This dynamic role involves supporting multiple areas of the facility including café operations, membership sales, stadium operations, and community engagement.
You will assist with the day-to-day running of the stadium, helping to ensure programs, competitions, and events operate smoothly while maintaining a safe and positive environment for participants and spectators. The role also includes serving customers in the café, promoting and selling memberships and programs, and providing friendly customer service to visitors.
A key part of the role is connecting with the local community by supporting sport and recreation programs, assisting participants, and helping create an inclusive and engaging environment where people feel welcome to be active and involved.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys sport, working with people, and being part of a vibrant community recreation centre.

About the Centre
RecWest Braybrook is a vibrant community recreation centre in Melbourne’s west, providing a welcoming space for people of all ages and abilities to be active, connect, and participate in sport and community programs.
Our centre features a multi-court stadium and hosts a wide range of activities including social and competitive basketball, netball, futsal, pickleball, school sports, community events, and casual court hire. We also run inclusive programs, junior development activities, and community initiatives that encourage participation in sport and active recreation.
About the role
As a Customer Service Officer at RecWest Braybrook you will be greeting members, responding to enquiries via email, phone or in-person, as well as performing general but important administrative tasks. Our Customer Service Officer's always put the customer experience at the forefront of all interactions with people within the community. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide customers with sales solutions when enquiring about memberships and programs
- Conduct centre tours with prospective members
- Follow up customers and members as required
- Promote available programs and services
- Accurately receipt, process and balance customer payments
This is a casual position's hourly rate is $31.18 per hour + Superannuation + Y Benefits. The permanent position's hourly rate is $24.95.
About you
With our focus on providing the exceptional customer experience and always providing outstanding customer service, we will be looking for someone who is energetic, can help to create a welcoming environment and enthusiastic about helping and assisting others.
You will be working alongside our other Customer Service Officers, and will also work closely with Duty Managers to ensure smooth service and running of the facility overall.
Qualifications & Experience
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous

Salary
RE Grade 2 from 24.95 (PPT) onwards to $31.18 (Casual) per hour + superannuation along with free access to gyms and pools around the state!
