Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, the Project Manager will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders across multiple campaigns concurrently, producing work of the highest standard that is both on-time and on-budget. Key to the role is ensuring that strong relationships are built and maintained across the business both internally and externally and to manage work in the most effective and efficient way possible.

As the Project Manager you will be responsible for managing smaller projects from briefing stage through to final financial reconciliation as well as working alongside the Senior Business Manager on larger projects. You will work directly with the internal Yes Agency team, along with clients and when necessary relevant partners of the Optus Agency Village to ensure all projects are delivered within budget and as per the agreed timeline.

The ideal Project Manager at Yes Agency will possess, at a minimum, knowledge and some hands-on experience across Integrated Production (especially print production).


  • Follow the Yes process, roles & responsibilities for every project assigned
  • Defining and scoping project using the Yes Agency one-pager document
  • Set up and participate in internal kick off meetings, agency briefings & reviews
  • Be able to write clear concise, design and production briefs
  • Keeping the Group Ops Manager, GAD and Senior Traffic Manager across project developments
  • Raising accurate estimates for each project and reporting them in the forecast tracker
  • Advise and work with Senior Traffic Manager regarding resource requirements for creative and studio
  • Liaise with Production on forecast of work. Sense-check that creative will meet budgets and is able to be delivered in a timely manner
  • Manage and participate in client WIPs, briefings, meetings and debriefs
  • Consolidate cross-channel production timelines into integrated timing plans
  • Work with agency village when needed
  • Become an expert on the Optus brand
  • Communication of expected overages to the Group Ops Manager and GAD to ensure that clients are paying for all of the work we produce, minimising potential write-offs
  • Project cost reconciliations: ensure external costs are reconciled with the relevant producer and JDRs are reviewed and submitted weekly
  • Work with Operations Director to monitor and optimize our Ways of Working and processes
  • Responsible for the print and press media plans, translating information into accurate material instructions, working with media agencies to get the right information


  • Be process driven, financially responsible, and solutions focused.
  • Ability to operate with a sound degree of flexibility to deal with unforeseen challenges throughout the process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of integrated production disciplines & techniques, if not hands-on experience.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of clients, management and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Google Apps
  • Natural problem solver - not afraid of a challenge

  • Experience working as a Project Manager to a mid weight level, in an integrated advertising agency leading small to medium-sized projects and supporting senior project and account management team members on larger projects
  • A strong understanding of print production and studio
  • Proven understanding of media plans and MIs
