Once home to the Fairfax newspaper empire and the prestigious Bank of New South Wales, this historical building now accommodates business travellers and holiday guests from all over the world in their 364 rooms.

The role

As a Concierge you will lead a small team of porters and take on the responsibility of total guest satisfaction. Our highly professional team take pride in their "can do" attitude in ensuring that all guests are treated as VIP's. Your role reports to our experienced Chief Concierge. You will also liaise with the Duty Manager with regard to day to day operations. 

About you

Attending to guest requests no matter how diverse is a key duty in the Concierge department, therefore the successful applicant will possess the below:

·        Outstanding communication skills in English

·        Experience in a customer service environment

·        Knowledge of Sydney restaurants, attractions and transport

·        A full Australian driver's licence and the ability to drive a manual car

·        Ability to regularly handle heavy luggage into and out of vehicles and onto luggage trolleys

Support

You will be supported by the Chief Concierge and Front Office Manager. You will also closely work with our team of Duty Managers. The Departmental Trainer will look after your initial training and you will also attend a 1.5 day orientation program with Human Resources. After passing your 90-day training period you will be invited to experience a complimentary guest stay.

Good to know

Hours are dependent upon business needs, however shifts are generally from 07:00 – 15:00 and 15:00 – 23:00. You must be available to work on the weekends. After 3 months you will be eligible for discounted, global, accommodation rates for yourself, friends and family. Meals are available for $3 in our fully catered staff canteen and a laundered uniform will be provided. As this is a full time opportunity, ongoing unrestricted working rights are required. 

Salary

$59,576.40pa + 9.5% super, uniform, $3 meals
