About the role
The Finance Analyst supports the Senior Financial Accountant in ensuring treasury, compliance, month-end, and core financial control processes run seamlessly across the group. The role has primary day-to-day responsibility for weekly short-term cash flow (STCF) preparation, group treasury and payment execution, and ownership of the credit control function to support efficient debtor recovery, low aged debt, and accurate visibility over expected cash receipts. The role also supports month-end preparation, balance sheet support work, and compliance obligations across the group. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive problem solver who identifies issues early, follows through, communicates well with internal and external stakeholders, is strong in Excel, and is keen to learn and work in a fast-paced business environment.
As our newest Finance Analyst, you’ll have the following key responsibilities:
Treasury, Cash Flow & Payments
- Prepare and maintain the weekly short-term cash flow (STCF), ensuring assumptions are current, movements are clearly understood, and expected receipts and payments are accurately reflected.
- Manage group treasury administration and payment processing, including preparing payment runs, coordinating approvals, and ensuring payments are accurate, timely, and appropriately controlled.
- Monitor daily cash movements, bank positions, and upcoming obligations, escalating risks, funding constraints, or anomalies to the Senior Financial Accountant promptly.
- Support cash visibility across entities by maintaining reliable reporting on forecast receipts, committed payments, near-term liquidity requirements, and key drivers impacting the cash model.
Credit Control & Receivables Management
- Own the credit control function across the group, including debtor follow-up, collections tracking, dispute resolution support, and disciplined escalation of overdue accounts.
- Liaise proactively with internal stakeholders and external customers to maintain accurate visibility over future receipts and to support efficient debtor recovery.
- Maintain receivables reporting, aged debt analysis, and collection commentary, highlighting risks, trends, and actions required to keep aged debt at low levels.
- Identify process issues affecting billing, collections, system data, or cash application and work with the wider business to improve debtor outcomes, cash conversion, and forecast accuracy.
Month-End & Financial Control Support
- Assist with month-end preparation, including journals, reconciliations, schedules, supporting workpapers, and follow-up of outstanding items across entities.
- Support the Senior Financial Accountant in maintaining general ledger accuracy and balance sheet hygiene through timely preparation of reconciliations and investigation of variances.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports to support close, treasury, working capital, cash modelling, and management review requirements.
- Help maintain orderly documentation and audit-ready support for month-end, treasury, and compliance activities.
Compliance & Administration Support
- Assist with group compliance obligations by preparing schedules, collating supporting documentation, and coordinating inputs for statutory, payroll-related, tax, and other regulatory requirements.
- Support accurate record keeping and timely completion of finance administration tasks connected to treasury, month-end, audit, and compliance processes.
- Work closely with the Senior Financial Accountant to identify control gaps, process bottlenecks, or emerging compliance risks and help resolve them early.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and maintain quality in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to resolution
- The ability to work with urgency while balancing shifting priorities and deadlines
- A customer- or service-oriented approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn, with an openness to feedback and continuous development
- A desire to build technical, systems, and commercial understanding, including how pipeline, revenue conversion, and collections impact cash outcomes
- Adaptability and resilience, with the ability to stay effective as priorities evolve
