Exercise Physiologist | Full-Time | Cairns, QLD

With a strong focus on inclusivity, empathy and client-centered care, we are expanding our team and seeking a qualified Exercise Physiologist to join our Cairns clinic. 

This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a close-knit and supportive team of practitioners across 3 commercial gyms in Edmonton, Westcourt and Smithfield. Proactive Health provides a collaborative environment focused on professional development and high-quality care, with a strong emphasis on supporting defence force veterans. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver tailored, evidence-based treatment plans 
  • Provide individual and group rehabilitation sessions across clinical and gym settings 
  • Manage a varied caseload including DVA, NDIS, Workcover, Medicare, and private clients 
  • Prepare clinical documentation and reports for stakeholders 
  • Deliver services in-person and via telehealth 
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support holistic care

About You: 

  • Degree in Exercise Physiology with current ESSA accreditation (AEP) 
  • CPR and First Aid certification 
  • Current Police Check and professional insurance 
  • Access to reliable transport and valid Drivers’ license 
  • Ability to do early starts to accommodate veteran clients 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 
  • Motivated, professional, and committed to client outcomes 
  • New graduates welcome—comprehensive training and mentorship provided
