We’re looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join our Network Engineering team in Balclutha. About the Role

In this role, you’ll support the planning, analysis, and optimisation of our electricity distribution network. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to:

  • Provide engineering support across substations, sub‑transmission, distribution, and reticulation systems
  • Develop engineering work packages for capital and maintenance projects
  • Build and maintain network models using industry‑leading tools (e.g., PowerFactory)
  • Analyse data, interpret results, and deliver practical recommendations
  • Support new customer connection enquiries, including distributed generation
  • Assist with asset management planning, standards compliance, and project delivery

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
  • 12+ months experience in electrical distribution engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience with simulation or power system analysis tools
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • A proactive, organised, and collaborative approach
