The Asset Inspector (Technical) role would suit a commercial or industrial electrician willing to learn and broaden their horizon in the electrical industry. If you are keen for a chance to work in the open air, travelling around Southland and Otago, this could the opportunity for you to work in this new and developing team.

As an Asset Inspector you will be responsible for assessing the condition of our technical distribution assets using tools and electrical test equipment, recording in accordance with our condition assessment programme, reporting back on the performance of our plant and equipment in the field.

Experience/Knowledge and Skills:

  • Current EWRB registration and an Electrician preferred.
  • Ability to test and interpret the condition of technical equipment.
  • Understanding of electrical testing in the distribution environment.
  • At least 2 years’ experience within the NZ electricity industry and/or constructing, maintaining distribution electricity assets.
