The role:

Joining PowerNet as a Graduate Electrical Engineer is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to develop engineering expertise and contribute to essential projects shaping the future of electricity distribution. Based in our office in Invercargill, we are looking for two Graduates to join us in February 2026.

As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will be given the opportunity to develop both your technical and teamwork skills, and you will make a valuable contribution in a range of areas including:

  • Customer connection approvals
  • Neutral fault investigations
  • Disclosure data reviews and rectification
  • Load flow studies
  • Data gathering/cleansing
  • Involvement in engineering projects

 Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
  • A genuine interest in the electricity distribution industry
  • A desire to develop and progress your engineering career
  • Positive and pro-active approach toward teamwork
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication
  • Robust data management skills and knowledge of coding
