About the Role

As a Planner (Field), you will be responsible for gathering the information needed to ensure the work packs shared with the field teams have the direction and resources needed to successfully and safely undertake the work.

Created with the future in mind, this new role will strengthen PowerNet’s capability and help shape how we deliver for the years ahead.

 In this role you will be instrumental in the successful implementation of our work programme, responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking site visits to ensure the work packs have all the details required to enable safe field execution.
  • Establishing traffic management and civil work requirements.
  • Liaising with our system control team to organise switching, isolation and outage requirements.
  • Ensuring safety, environmental and quality requirements are incorporated into all work packs.
  • Maintaining positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful you will need:

  • To be EWRB registered and qualified as a Line Mechanic/Supply Electrician or similar with a sound understanding of electrical network assets.
  • Previous experience in electricity distribution industry undertaking field delivery, planning or work scoping.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A practical and solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage a range of projects concurrently.
  • Previous experience using planning/scheduling tools e.g. Maximo/GIS.
  • A current New Zealand Class 1 driver licence.
