Step into a key role leading our technical team as the Technical Team Leader.
Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of Technicians and Apprentices responsible for constructing, installing, and maintaining substation and distribution equipment. This role calls for strong people leadership, solid project planning abilities, and a proven track record in delivering quality work.
You’ll enjoy developing and supporting your team, fostering strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and contractors.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime and rostered on-call duties.
About You – Skills and Experience
You are a motivated individual with a practical, flexible, and team-oriented mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for developing your career with PowerNet.
We’re seeking someone who:
- Is a natural people leader who recognises the value of great leadership.
- Holds a National Certificate in Electrical Supply Level 4 (or equivalent).
- Has a current EWRB electrical registration and practising licence.
- Brings at least three years of recent experience in the electrical distribution industry.
- Is innovative and confident in using new technology to improve processes.
- Meets the competency requirements for PowerNet Network Access Criteria (NAC).
- Holds a current Class 1 driver licence.
- Has up-to-date knowledge of industry safety regulations.
