The Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as an Apprentice Line Mechanic based at our Gore Depot.

In this role, you will be responsible for power line construction and maintenance, performed under the supervision of our fully qualified and experienced Line Mechanics.

You will also be required to undertake external training to achieve your National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Line Mechanic Distribution) Level 4.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has an understanding or interest in the electricity industry.
  • is eager to learn.
  • competent using Microsoft Office with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • holds a Class 1 New Zealand Drivers licence (minimum restricted).
  • holds a NCEA Level 2 or equivalent level of achievement.

Prior experience in the industry is not essential and training will be provided to ensure you’re able to work safely and efficiently.
