About the role:

As an Asset Inspector you will be responsible for assessing the condition of our technical distribution assets (substations, transformers, circuit breakers to name a few) using tools and electrical test equipment, recording in accordance with our condition assessment programme, and reporting back on the performance of our plant and equipment.

This is a full-time permanent role and provides the opportunity to travel and work in a variety of locations across Southland and Otago. Given the vast area that we cover there will be times you will need to stay away from home on a rostered basis.

What you will need to be successful:

To be successful in this role you will need to be a registered electrician with at least two years’ experience within the New Zealand electrical industry. Previous experience in New Zealand testing and interpreting the condition of technical equipment in would be a definite advantage.

The role is physical in nature, both in the terrain and weather elements, so you will need to be physically fit to be able to carry out the demands of the role.
