Our field teams play a significant part in our business. As a Distribution Line Mechanic based at our Te Anau Depot, you’ll be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking distribution team who safely builds and maintain reliable electricity for our customers throughout the network. You’ll be integral to our success.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the hourly rate ranging from $30 - $40 per hour plus overtime and allowances - subject to skills and experience.

What do you need to bring to the role?

  • Experience in line maintenance, construction, and fault repair services
  • Skills in installation, replacement, and maintenance of underground and overhead line equipment
  • Qualified Line Mechanic with current EWRB registration
  • At least two years post-registration experience preferred
  • Demonstrate good working relationships with other team members, customers, and contractors
  • Current working knowledge of the industry’s safety regulations
