About the Role

Created with the future in mind, this new role will strengthen PowerNet’s capability and help shape how we deliver for the years ahead.

As a Planner (Technical), you will undertake detailed planning to ensure work is ready before it reaches our technical team.

You will support the successful delivery of our work programme by:

  • Support high-quality work packs with detailed site plans to ensure safe field execution.
  • Planning and coordinating HV/LV switching, isolations, outages and network access, identifying opportunities to minimise customer disruption.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with civil contractors, TTM providers, landowners and affected customers to support coordinated work delivery.
  • Incorporating safety, environmental, quality and regulatory requirements into all planning and work packages.

To be successful you will need:

  • To be EWRB registered and qualified as a Supply Electrician or similar with a sound understanding of electrical network assets.
  • Previous experience in electricity distribution industry undertaking field delivery, planning or work scoping.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A practical and solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage a range of projects concurrently.
  • Previous experience using planning/scheduling tools e.g. Maximo/GIS.
  • A current New Zealand Class 1 driver licence.
