Internal Vacancy - Technical Team Leader Queenstown

Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, the Technical Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of Electricians and Apprentices who construct, install, and maintain substation and distribution equipment and cable networks. This requires excellent people leadership, project planning and proven work delivery skills.

This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career and contribute to the Queenstown Depot.

This is a full-time position based in Queenstown, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is a natural leader of people, who understands the benefits of great leadership.
• Holds a National Certificate in Electrical Supply Level 4 or equivalent.
• Has a current EWRB electrical registration and practicing licence.
• Has recent experience in the electrical distribution industry
• Is innovative, and capable of using new technology to improve the way things are done.
• Is competent to hold a PowerNet Network Access Certificate (NAC)
• Demonstrates good working relationships with other team members, customers, and contractors.
• Holds a current class 1 driver's licence.
• Has a current working knowledge of the industry’s safety regulations.
