About the role:
As an Asset Inspector you will be responsible for assessing the condition of our technical distribution assets (substations, transformers, circuit breakers to name a few) using tools and electrical test equipment, recording in accordance with our condition assessment programme, and reporting back on the performance of our plant and equipment.
The role would suit a commercial or industrial electrician willing to learn and broaden their horizon in the electrical industry. As an Asset Inspector you will have the opportunity to travel and work in a variety of locations across Southland and Otago. Given the vast area we cover there will be times you will need to stay away from home on a rostered basis If you are keen for a chance to work in the open air, travelling around Southland and Otago, this could the opportunity for you!
This is a full-time position working forty (40) hours per week, Monday to Friday, with competitive hourly rates and allowances.
What you will need to be successful:
To be successful in this role you will need to be a registered electrician with at least two years’ experience within the New Zealand electrical industry. Previous experience in New Zealand testing and interpreting the condition of technical equipment in would be a definite advantage.
The role is physical in nature, both in the terrain and weather elements, so you will need to be physically fit to be able to carry out the demands of the role.
