About Powerco

We serve around 1 million customers from the Coromandel Peninsula to Taranaki and through to Wellington. Not only are we New Zealand’s largest electricity network by geographic area, and second-largest gas company by number of customers, we’re also one of only three dual-energy distributors in the country. The energy distribution industry is undergoing a significant strategic change and we’re proud to say that Powerco is at the forefront of this change. We have always worked closely with our retailers and now we’re focusing on working closely with our customers too.

You’re probably aware that we’re a big company but the best thing is we don’t act like it. This means you get the best of both worlds - your career fast-tracked in an organisation that is willing to put their time and money into your continuous development, but also a company that’s loyal and has a huge amount of respect for their people and isn’t shy to show it.

Are you ready to step into an industry that’s on the cusp of great change and keep our customers happy doing what you do best?

Applications close: Friday 10 May 2024

Our ability to get the best out of people is what sets Powerco apart. We realise that candidates – especially from underrepresented and neurodiverse backgrounds – often won’t apply for roles unless they meet ALL the criteria. We encourage anyone who shares our passion for connecting communities to apply for any role that aligns to your strengths and interests. We will provide a safe space where you can bring your whole self to work and thrive.
