Right now, we're after a Network Development Manager to lead the team of planners that have responsibility for network development of Powerco’s Western network – stretching from the Wairarapa through to Taranaki. Through their excellent understanding of our customers’ needs and the electricity demand trends in our regions, this team ensure that we grow our network in a cost-effective and timely manner, for today and tomorrow. The team will also be at the forefront supporting New Zealand’s decarbonisation, with demand for electricity expected to significantly grow.
This is a key leadership role at the heart of the Powerco business. Planning the development and expansion of Powerco’s electricity network is critical to our customers and communities– sounds good?
Let's talk about you. Your extensive experience in the industry will put you in good stead to hit the ground running with Powerco. You'll likely have a degree or NZCE in electrical engineering under your belt, as well as a sharp mind and strong business savvy which will see you make informed decisions and optimise your team's performance at all times. You’ll enjoy collaborating with a variety of internal Powerco teams, and be excited about interacting with our major customers and Transpower. You’ll not be afraid to get your own hands dirty as well – helping with the planning and analysis of network solutions. You'll have a keen eye for the details and will be no stranger to presenting a report or two. It goes without saying you'll be an excellent people leader - but with their dedication and drive, our teams make that part easy.
