About the role
- Not the usual development roles, this role requires the ability to see the bigger picture with passion to want to change the business for the better.
- Reporting to the Business Transformation Development and Integration Lead, you will participate in one of our value streams, developing applications and solutions to business problems.
- Contribute to help build and grow our development practice to match our delivery methods.
- You will write, test, debug, and maintain applications for the whole Powerco business.
- Enhance off the shelf software and develop bespoke applications / solutions using no and low code solutions which solve business problems.
- Ensure industry leading development best practice is applied to all development, whilst also being efficient in problem solving and keeping an eye on delivering a quality solution to our customers, both internal and external.

To be a success in this role, you will need:
- To demonstrate development experience elsewhere in a similar industry or environment
- Ability to develop applications in one or more of our core platforms (ESRI, GIS, SAP, Salesforce)
- Ability to think creatively and deliver fit for purpose solutions, with a focus on Quality, efficiency and flexibility
- Knowledge and experience of agile practices and ways of working
- Ability to see the bigger picture
- To be passionate about your role and love coming to work and having fun
- experience of best practice in some of our current and future core applications, ESRI, GIS, SAP and Salesforce to name a few, but with the ability and desire to add to your knowledge library, as well as grow the team’s knowledge and abilities.
