About the role

This is an entry level role reporting to the Value Optimisation Manager within our Finance function. You will gain exposure to all facets of Corporate Treasury from executing Foreign Exchange deals to hedging Bonds and Bank loans. Two key responsibilities of this role are preparing reports on the status of the various portfolios as well as conducting daily cash management.

Whilst there are regular tasks to complete, there is often something new happening. Therefore, this role suits someone who has an eye for detail, is adaptable and can navigate change. Corporate Treasury is a function that has a pan-company view as well as being constantly up to date with international events and how they may influence New Zealand’s economy and Money Markets.

 To be a success in this role, you will need:

  • An analytical mind
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity (as in financial markets)
  • An inquiring outlook and keeness to learn
  • Willingness to help out when needed
  • To be driven and aim to be a high performer
  • A goal oriented approach

It would ideal if you have:

  • Some background in Treasury/Banking/Financial Markets through previous work or study
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Both a team player and the ability to be given a task to complete on your own.
