The energy industry is on the verge of a radical transformation. The digitisation of energy systems, the uptake of battery, electric vehicle and PV technologies enabled by the capabilities of cloud computing and integrated IoT platforms are all radically changing the way energy is created, shared and managed. 

The Senior Applications Analyst supports, improves and enhances Powerco’s Business Applications. You will be the escalation for our Service Desk and Desktop team and provide second level support for both Incident and Service Request resolution.  Proactively identifying improvement opportunities for existing business practices, including systems and processes is fundamental to this role. Automation is also a focus to ensure time is freed up for more value add. Knowledge sharing through documentation, troubleshooting guides and training, be it for other IS teams or our business, is key to enabling our people to be more self-sufficient. Liaising and building relationships with our vendors is essential. Providing expertise for projects outside the team is a given.

You will be someone that has a passion for continuous improvement and adding value to our business. You have the ability to engage with all levels of stakeholders and manage relationships whilst under pressure. You possess a focused, can do attitude and can work autonomously. While you are passionate about upskilling other teams/peers through mentoring, coaching and documentation, you are eager to learn new skills to share the load in the team. You will have six plus years of experience working within IT and have strong problem solving skills with a focus on quality outcomes.
