Powerco’s Commercial Team is part of a wider Customer Team where customers are at the heart of everything we do. We prioritse understanding and meeting the evolving needs of our customers, and together with all parts of the business, deliver an exceptional customer experience.

In this role you’ll lead a dedicated team of Energy Account Managers, collaborating closely with our major customers, understanding their priorities, seeking cost effective and reliable energy solutions. This will ensure Powerco can continue to best meet their energy needs as Aotearoa progresses towards a lower carbon future.

We have ambitious goals to elevate our services and gain deeper insights into our customer’s needs. So, where we are now, and where we would like to be in 12 months will require a strong strategic focus and a drive for improvement.

Responsibilities include:

• Contract development and commercial negotiations to drive business growth.
• Understanding our customer needs and improving our customer experience.
• Provide leadership, coaching and support to the Commercial Team, fostering an outcome focused performance culture.
• Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to our achieve our mutual goal of being a customer-focused business, delivering on our purpose of connecting customers & communities. 

To thrive in this role: 

You’re likely to be a talented and respected team leader with the ability to build an outcome focused performance culture. Bring a diverse skill set including commercial, customer and strategic execution expertise, coupled with strong commercial and financial acumen.

You will be someone who enjoys building relationships, is customer focused and a great team player. Your ability to work with and through others, both in and outside of the organisation, will be critical in the role.

Ideally experience in the industry to hit the ground running would be a bonus but not essential.
