Principal Civil Structural Engineer

New Plymouth

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Civil Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team as an internal consultant. If you are passionate about applying your expertise to tackle complex engineering challenges, we want to hear from you.

The role

As a Principal Civil Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our projects and initiatives, driving innovation and ensuring the highest standards of quality. You will work with a diverse team of professionals to conduct feasibility and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) studies while investigating challenges impacting planning, design, construction, and operations.

  • Exceptional Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Interpersonal Skills: The ability to build relationships and work well in cross-functional teams.
  • Project/Asset Lifecycle Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of project and asset lifecycle stages and their interdependencies.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in relevant software tools and industry standards.
  • Civil Structural Engineering Design: Knowledge of Civil and Structural engineering issues and considerations, ideally with demonstrable experience from working across a wide variety of projects in New Zealand.
  • Energy Sector Awareness: Familiarity with the electricity and gas energy sectors is an advantage.
