Customer Consultant – Smart Metering

Wellington CBD

  • 2 x permanent roles with flexible working arrangements
  • Customer support role within a Smart Meter deployment project

About the role

The Gas Hub is Powerco’s gas energy brand. Our Wellington office is home to our customer team, marketing team, account managers, engineers, analysts, project managers and administrators. We work hard to connect homes to gas, maintain our gas network and keep our customers happy.

As a Customer Consultant you’ll be working in our customer team who play a key role in being the face of our brand, promoting the future of gas, coordinating customer works processes, and delivering an amazing customer experience. This role will have a specific focus on providing customer support to the Smart Meter deployment project and you’ll do this by:

  •  Supporting customers via different channels – calls, emails, texts
  • Arranging, managing and coordinating project work requests from job creation to closure
  • Quality checking documentation and data from our contractors
  • Using systems such as SAP, Salesforce, ArcGIS and CWMS
  • Building strong relationships with contractors, gas billing companies, gasfitters and internal teams

As part of the project requirements, our team needs to be available Mon-Fri, 6am-10pm, with the occasional Saturday. Let’s be honest, no-one likes working Saturdays and late hours so some of these hours will be rostered shifts and on-call working arrangements. We’re flexible on how we make this work - as long as we have someone available to look after our customers.

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for all-round customer experience superstars! People who have skills and experience in making sure our customers are looked after. Natural problem-solvers and quick learners with experience in coordinating customer appointments and managing work schedules. Use of Field Service Lightning or Salesforce is a bonus but not essential. If you consider skills like being tech savvy, organised and having great communication skills part of your list of natural talents, we’re interested!

What’s in it for you?

  • Hybrid working environment with flexi work hours and WFH flexibility - let us know what works for you in your cover letter
  • Great office environment, team culture & social activities (when covid calms down!)
  • Health and Wellness – flu vaccinations, access to regular health checks, fruit in the office, work/life balance initiatives
  • Healthcare scheme - Medical insurance package
  • Awesome central location close to the capital’s best cafés, shopping, eats and bars

If you’re a passionate team player, Apply now!  You might just be exactly what we’re looking for!

Applications close: Friday 26 August 2022

Our ability to get the best out of people is what sets Powerco apart. We realise that candidates – especially from underrepresented and neurodiverse backgrounds – often won’t apply for roles unless they meet ALL the criteria. We encourage anyone who shares our passion for connecting communities to apply for any role that aligns to your strengths and interests. We will provide a safe space where you can bring your whole self to work and thrive.
