Customer Works Support
Tauranga / New Plymouth / Palmerston North
We're looking for a great person to fill the position of Customer Works Support, supporting our Electricity Customer Works team. We have team members at our offices in Tauranga, New Plymouth, Whanganui and Palmerston North. Tauranga location is preferred but if you are comfortable supporting teams remotely, we can be flexible.

About the role
As Customer Works Support you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining the financial workflow for customer initiated work, creating work orders and purchase orders, receipting and invoice requests, and working with Powerco and contractor staff to resolve any related issues.
- Maintaining the Distributed Generation (DG) application and approval process. Receiving and verifying DG applications and approving where appropriate, responding to customer enquiries regarding DG, receiving completion paperwork and following up outstanding paperwork.
- Assist the customer works project managers with approval of simple customer work requests, management of as built document from contractors, and follow up and close-out of corrective actions from field work audits.
- Provide contractors with support and training in the Powerco customer works processes and SAP processes
- General administration services for the customer works teams at Tauranga, New Plymouth, Whanganui and Palmerston North.
- Providing a quality and responsive service for technical enquiries from customers, Electricity Retailers, developers, electricians, contractors and internal partners within the Powerco business
- Ensuring that Powerco is seen as a competent, reliable and innovative partner by external parties
About you
Our ideal person will have:
- Be able to interact positively with a wide range of stakeholders including customers, contractors and internal partners
- Strong technology skills ensuring you maximise the efficiencies of technology, systems and processes
- Able to effectively manage a high volume of work and wide range of activities, from financial processes and DG applications, to general administration activities for the team.
- A strong focus on providing a great customer experience
- A devotion to continuous improvement
- A focus on quality, accuracy and compliance
- Experience in the Electricity Distribution industry would be an advantage but not essential
