Senior Integration Specialist

📍 New Plymouth, Wellington or Tauranga with flexible working options

🕐 Permanent - Full-time

We’re looking for a Senior Integration Specialist to join our Business Transformation team. This role is all about designing and delivering integration solutions that help our business work smarter, faster, and more connected. You’ll work closely with other technical and business specialists to understand what’s needed – then help bring the solution to life.

Whether you’re hands-on building integrations yourself or guiding external vendors through delivery, you’ll play a key role in how we connect systems, data, and people across Powerco. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor others and influence how we grow our integration capability over time.

What we offer you

  • Positive and supportive team culture and the opportunity to thrive in a genuinely caring and fun environment
  • Loads of flexibility – we embrace hybrid working, so if you’d like to work a few days a week from home – that’s fine by us
  • All the usual stuff, but way better – 4% KiwiSaver, ability to buy extra leave, paid volunteer days, free fruit in the office, amazing Parental Leave entitlements, free life and medical insurance – Wow!!!
  • As much growth and development as you can take! We are one of the top workplaces to grow your career (2023 LinkedIn Top Companies List for Aotearoa).

About the role

In this role, you’ll work closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and delivery teams to design and implement smart, practical integration solutions that meet the needs of the business. You enjoy problem solving and get a real kick out of creating fit-for-purpose solutions. You’ll act as a technical lead on projects, helping shape how solutions are delivered and ensuring they’re scalable, efficient, and aligned with best practices.

You’ll also play a key role in improving how we work by identifying opportunities for automation and reusable components. This is a role where your experience really matters – not just for the work you deliver, but for how you support and grow others. You’ll be mentoring less experienced developers and actively contributing to how we build and strengthen our integration capability at Powerco.

To be a success in this role, you will need:

  • A broad background in tech and integration, with experience working in agile delivery teams
  • Ability to engage and quickly establish and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience working with agile delivery teams and in sometimes, ambiguous environments.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people, tailoring your approach to ensure ideas land and everyone’s on the same page.

You don’t need to have experience with every tool in our tech stack to be successful in this role. While it’s great if you’ve worked with platforms like SAP BTP, BOOMI, FME, DevOps, or cloud-based integration technologies, we’re equally open to people who bring experience with other tools and a willingness to learn.
