Head of Electricity Delivery

New Plymouth, Tauranga, Wellington, Palmerston North

The Head of Electricity Delivery is a newly created role within our Electricity team, reporting to the GM Electricity. We are bringing together our Electricity operations into a single function to enable us to focus on excellence, our people & culture, and our customer relationships.

About the role

This is a role for a tried and tested leader with a plethora of leadership tools and experience at the ready.   We are looking for a skilled leader with the ability to lead our works delivery, projects, maintenance, and reliability teams to execute our electricity strategy and deliver outstanding results for Powerco’s customers.  This role combines strategy, delivery and relationships. 

You’ll need to be exceptional at building relationship and credibility both internally and externally; value the creation of a positive team culture; be naturally curious and innovative towards change and process improvements whilst influencing those around you towards solutions.   Others may describe you as a leader that thrives on successful delivery of projects which are results focused ‘on time and budget’ with strengths in building trust, rapport and credibility with your colleagues, your team, and external stakeholders.

Skills & Experience which will ensure success

  • Extensive leadership experience combining interpersonal abilities with perspective, influence, and energy.  You’re likely to have held similar roles previously.
  • A successful track record in delivering results and executing business plans, with solid financial experience to ensure Opex and Capex is appropriately deployed and generates the right sort of value for all stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, the knack of clearly and expertly conveying information in a compelling way
  • Depth in leading change processes to ensure engagement of people and change effectively embedded into the business
  • An analytical approach to solutions and decision making
  • Electrical industry experience (ideal but not a must)
