Commercial & Financial Analyst

📍 New Plymouth, Tauranga or Wellington

🕐 Permanent - Full-time

Our team is growing, so we have an exciting opportunity for you to increase capacity and provide complex financial modelling and analytical solutions for the business.

You will work with Powerco’s corporate model, assisting in maintaining and developing Powerco’s 30-year forecast model for valuation and strategic management. In this role you will provide financial modelling and analysis services across the business for existing and new business opportunities. Your star quality is the ability to provide sound commercial and business advice from modelling data and analysis.

You will have proven expertise in financial modelling and analysis, good knowledge and understanding of our industry, strong business acumen, excellent modelling skills and a strong internal and external customer focus.

Thriving as part of a team and enjoy working collaboratively with others to deliver optimum outcomes for the business, is essential to this role.

To be a success in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Well-developed skills in financial modelling and analysis
  • Demonstrated relevant work experience in this area, and experience related to the regulated Electricity or Gas Distribution businesses would be a significant advantage
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Sound Functional/Technical skills – A reliable expert for technical matters
  • Ability to communicate technical matters concisely and clearly, be able to unpick the ‘why’
