About the role
We are looking for a high-calibre leader to spearhead our asset management mahi in our Gas business.
Reporting into the General Manager Gas & People, you will understand our organisation and the opportunities in front of us. You know what drives asset performance and can join asset investment decisions with operational performance, commercial outcomes, and transformation initiatives. Key responsibilities are:
- Future energy: Help us harness the opportunities and navigate the transition and physical risks of the decarbonisation challenge.
- Asset management: Lead our decision making about our asset base to deliver better outcomes for customers.
- Business leadership: Create business plans, deliver on these commitments, collaborate with stakeholders, develop and support our people, and lead decision making.
The Ideal Candidate
In this role, it starts with character. We are looking for someone with strong personal foundations, a clear sense of purpose, and a service orientation. You’ll be motivated to make a difference and take great satisfaction in seeing our people and business thrive. A natural people leader, you’ll be respected for your thought leadership, ability to deliver calmly under pressure, and influencing skills to make things happen.
Next, we’re looking for someone with deep expertise in asset management at a senior level. You’ll have many tangible examples of obtaining asset investment support, gaining confidence of Boards and executive teams, leading asset management initiatives or teams, and partnering with industry, regulators and customers.
Finally, your differentiating qualities. You’ll be great at dealing with ambiguity, a process-orientated thinker, a creative problem solver and an exceptional writer of important documents (Board papers, asset management plans).
