About the role
This is a newly created role in our Metering team to deliver the mass deployment of smart meters across the Powerco network.
We are looking for someone who is a skilled Project Manager, with the ability to lead a project team and deliver an outstanding result for Powerco’s customers. You’ll need to excel at building relationships, is customer focused and is able to develop robust project management systems to support our customers’ requirements. You’ll be a natural project manager that thrives on delivering results ‘on time and budget’ but will build trust and rapport quickly with our partners and Service Providers.
You will create the Smart Meter Project delivery team and set up both processes and systems to ensure that nothing slips through the gaps and all parties are well informed of the project status.
Our Service Providers play a vital role in the delivery of this project and helping us to deliver exceptional customer service. You’ll be key to the management of this collaborative relationship to gain project efficiencies through openness and trust.

Skills & Experience
- Experience managing large projects at a senior level
- Leadership in both managing and setting up teams
- Management of successful working partnerships
- Commercial and Financial knowledge and experience
- Great communication, report writing and project systems documentation knowledge
- Gas industry experience (ideal but not a must)
