Permanent, full-time role, with flexible working available and encouraged.

Are you passionate about data and the insights that can be gained from it? Do you want to put your analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to use, to support some of our key initiatives and to influence positive business change?

About the role

Reporting to the Analysis & Insights lead, you are part of Powerco’s wider Business Transformation function, and you will actively participate in one of our value streams.

As Senior Business Intelligence Analyst you will form strong relationships with a multitude of stakeholders across the organisation to understand their need for analytical insights and you will provide expert advice on the best analytical method to use. Leveraging your BI skills and experience, you will develop and deliver meaningful analytical outputs in form of data sets, reports and dashboards that provide value and support business decisions.

Alongside ‘doing the doing’ this role also focuses on developing the business intelligence capabilities of other team members (via coaching and mentoring) and building out the Analysis & Insights practice to achieve a consistent and excellent service.

The Business Transformation Team is purpose-driven and a place where development, growth and collaboration are valued. Our people are trusted to make good decisions that result in positive impact and delivery of results. It is the responsibility of our Lead team to embrace and exemplify our identity.

To successfully carry out the role, you will need:

  • Proven analysis and problem-solving skills
  • The capability to source and analyse data, draw value-based conclusions, and present via appropriate data visualisations
  • To be proficient with reporting and visualisation tools, e. g. SAC and Tableau
  • To be familiar with the use of Data Warehouse functions and query developments
  • Strong communication, customer service skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • A proven record in working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Knowledge of agile practices and ways of working
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to consult and influence stakeholders
  • The ability to set clear achievable goals, priorities and meet deadlines
  • The ability to constructively challenge existing processes and procedures

Our investment in you

  • Loads of flexibility – we embrace hybrid working, so if you’d like to work a few days a week from home (or the beach) – that’s fine by us.
  • All the usual stuff, but way better – 4% Kiwi Saver, ability to buy extra leave, paid volunteer days, free fruit in the office, amazing Parental Leave entitlements, free Life and Medical Insurance – I know right!?
  • As much development as you can handle!
  • Working with an amazing, supportive, and fun team - even if we do say so ourselves…

Applications close: Sunday 4 September 2022

Our ability to get the best out of people is what sets Powerco apart.
