Outage and Customer Service Manager
New Plymouth
With such a vast and widespread network, a lot of effort goes in to keeping Powerco customers switched on. Our busy help desk is where it all happens! An exciting customer service hub where no two days are ever the same. That’s why we need you – a dynamic leader to steer the team as they field enquiries, assist customers, and implement solutions to outage issues.
In the electricity world, it’s natural that faults and power outages occur, (often due to weather events or trees growing into our power lines) and when they do, our customer service team are the first to know and react to provide a quality service to our wide customer base. You and your team are at the forefront, dispatching the right people at the right time, to ensure faults are fixed to a timeline that keeps our customers smiling.
It goes without saying you'll be an excellent people leader, with the ability to inspire your team to provide a quality customer experience. Your foundation in customer service will see you effectively lead by example, and you’ll have a natural and confident approach to leading staff that you’ve already proven in a similar team leader role.
You’ll have strengths in innovation, continuous improvement, relationships, resilience, and persistence. Those strengths coupled with exceptional technology skills and a swift ability to grasp new systems, processes and technologies will enable you to hit the ground running. You will also be highly organised, and no stranger to juggling several priorities and projects at once, so you’ll have no trouble producing rosters, maintaining accurate reports, and analysing data and trends. We’re a big company with lots of moving parts, operating in an industry that is adapting, and that means change is a natural part of life here. If you can respond positively towards change and help your team to understand and navigate change, you’ll thrive.
If you’re looking for a chance to build a career from your solid leadership and customer service experience, this role provides a real opportunity to grow your skills as a leader and move on up. Up for the challenge? Let’s talk.
