 About the Role

We're looking for a GIS-Asset Data Technician to ensure our electricity asset information is accurate and up to date in our business systems. Based in New Plymouth, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with data, collaborating with teams, and understands the importance of high quality / accurate data to drive decisions.

 What You’ll Do:

1. Maintain data accuracy: Investigate, identify, and reconcile incomplete or inconsistent data.
2. Ensure data quality: Enhance data completeness and reliability within our systems.
3. Capture key information: Input accurate asset data following required standards.
4. Provide support: Respond to queries from the business and service providers.
5. Collaborate across teams: Work with internal and external project team members to improve data integrity.

 What We’re Looking For:

1. Experience with ArcGIS and SAP (essential).
2. Strong attention to detail – accuracy matters in keeping our network running smoothly.
3. A team player with great communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
4. Problem-solving mindset – you see the bigger picture and how data fits into keeping the power on.
5. Electricity industry knowledge (preferred but not essential).
