About the role

This role will work within our People & Culture team to partner with our people leaders and employees to support delivery of our strategic plan, projects and initiatives.  We are looking for someone with a people background that loves attention to detail and problem solving, will hit the ground running with HR skills and knowledge, understands the value of working collaboratively with curiosity and a “hands on” approach.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Help our leaders and their people, navigate our People policies and procedures
  • Advise on and navigate all things People related
  • Partner with leaders to recruit the best people for our teams
  • Create agreements and onboarding using our future ready people systems
  • Contribute positively to the culture of our team and the wider business

Skills & Experience

It’s not the be all and end all, but we’d be stoked if you have:

  • worked in a HR related role before so you’re ready to hit the ground running
  • understanding (and experience) of NZ employment legislation
  • a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field like Psychology or Social Work so you get the “why?” behind what we do

Our investment in you:

  • All the usual stuff, but way better – 4% Kiwi Saver, ability to buy extra leave, paid volunteer days, free fruit in the office, amazing Parental Leave entitlements, free Life and Medical Insurance – I know right!?
  • Working with an amazing, supportive, and fun team - even if we do say so ourselves…

Applications close: Sunday 21 January 2024

Our ability to get the best out of people is what sets Powerco apart. We realise that candidates – especially from underrepresented and neurodiverse backgrounds – often won’t apply for roles unless they meet ALL the criteria. We encourage anyone who shares our passion for connecting communities to apply for any role that aligns to your strengths and interests. We will provide a safe space where you can bring your whole self to work and thrive.

If you would benefit from support or adjustments in order to participate equitably in the recruitment process, please phone 0800 769372 or email kiaora@powerco.co.nz
