Our Information Services department works as one team to provide technology-enabled business growth putting our customers’ energy future at the centre of everything we do. We are dynamic, skilled and passionate about helping Powerco transform to a digital utility. We have adopted a “cloud first” approach and are investing across our technology landscape including a new ERP, desktop, cloud services, communications (radio, fibre, LPWAN) and cyber security. With great career opportunities, visionary leadership and strong stakeholder support, now is an exciting time to take your IT career to the next level with Powerco.

The energy industry is on the verge of a radical transformation. The digitisation of energy systems, the uptake of battery, electric vehicle and PV technologies enabled by the capabilities of cloud computing and integrated IoT platforms are all radically changing the way energy is created, shared and managed. Cyber security is a critical enabler of Powerco’s strategy to become the energy distributor of the future. We are investing in cyber security to build industry leading capability.

This is where you come in. We are looking for someone that is as passionate about protecting Powerco and its customers from Cyber Threats as we are. This isn’t a graduate role but If you have an interest in Cyber Security and experience in Risk Management and or Business analysis, we want to hear from you. Cyber experience is a plus but ultimately, we are after a motivated, passionate individual that is keen on a career in an industry where continuous learning and upskilling is mandatory to keep up with the ever-changing threat landscape.

This role is focused on proactive risk management and active business stakeholder engagement. You will be responsible for ensuring business owners understand the cyber risks associated with their business unit and for the development, management, maintenance of security policy & standards.

You will have a track record of engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, a strong process orientation and ideally a background in risk management. With your advanced communication skills, you will hit the ground running with Powerco. This role includes the opportunity to help shape the future cyber strategy to continue to meet the changing threat landscape.
