Are you ready to make a substantial impact in the dynamic and ever evolving world of electricity distribution?  We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Underground Assets Manager.  If you have a deep understanding of the electrical industry and are energised by the opportunity to lead a team of talented people who are passionate about asset management, then we are keen to have a conversation with you. 

Purpose of the Role

To be responsible for the Lifecycle Asset Management of Underground Network Assets. You will support delivery of a safe, dependable and affordable electricity supply by applying your expertise to our asset management processes and industry leading systems (e.g. Copperleaf).

 Key components of the role:

  • Be an integral member of the Network Assets Lead Team by supporting, developing and championing initiatives to achieve our purpose and vision.
  • Lead the Underground Assets Team (4-6 reports) to deliver lifecycle asset management for the assets the team is responsible for including cables, distribution switchgear and transformers, etc.
  • Have an active role in developing and maintaining our Lifecycle Asset Management System
  • Deliver Lifecycle Asset Management from an in-year and long-term perspective encompassing all aspects of the plan-do-check-act cycle as guided by ISO 55001.

What You’ll Bring:

A background in the electricity industry, coupled with experience in asset management or investment planning supported by a bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering with +10 years relevant experience would put you at the top of our list.

We’re also keen to hear from candidates with solid people leadership experience and a background in engineering and/or asset management.    Your experience will ensure you use your technical, commercial and risk skills to make decisions. You will also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and both internal and external stakeholders.
