About the role
We are looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our Electricity Portfolio team based in New Plymouth.
This role delivers targeted commercial outcomes for our Electricity team through pricing analytics, cost analysis, contract management, contract cost evaluation and reporting. The role is key in supporting the Electricity business to make quality investment decisions and deliver best value to our customers, through driving accuracy in cost estimation and determining “fairness” of pricing.It is a unique role sitting within the business utilising commercial and financial analytical skills. Consequently, the role is diverse in nature, engaging with different stakeholders with different needs, so we will fully utilise your interpersonal and relationship building skills and experience.
About you
We are looking for a Commercial Analyst with strengths in critical thinking, analysis, attention to detail, commerciality and someone who thrives on helping others to understand the situation with data. You are naturally curious and enjoy working with others to help them understand the big picture by way of data and analytics.
This role may suit a candidate looking to take the next step in their commercial career or someone with a background in data or finance who is looking for a move to develop their breadth of expertise and abilities. Skills & Experience
It’s not the be all and end all, but we’d be stoked if you have:
- a qualification or experience in a commercial or financial field / industry
- excellent communication and relationship skills
- analytical and commercial modelling skills
- risk management and decision-making skills
