About the role

Powerco has a big focus on analytics and data management and highly needs skilled people like you to turn ideas into reality. Reporting to the Business Intelligence Lead, this role is part of Powerco’s wider Business Transformation function and will be pivotal in the success of our Business Intelligence Reporting and Development programme of work.

  • You will be part of a supportive and fun team made up of internal staff and contractors.
  • You will help to enable the business to improve data-informed decisions and automate processes.
  • You will be part of a major analytical platform modernisation project utilising some of the latest technologies, working alongside other highly skilled data engineers.
  • This role also focuses on developing the business intelligence capabilities of other team members (via coaching and mentoring) and building out the analysis and insights practice to achieve a consistent and excellent service.

 About you

 To be a success in this role, you will need:

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, interpersonal skills, and qualities
  • Demonstrated experience in business process analysis, requirement gathering and management of user expectations
  •  Experience designing solutions that enable users to make decision or improve processes through consumption of efficient and effective insights
  • 5 or more years experience in delivery of analytical output such as data sets, reports and dashboards, ideally with one or more of the following tools:
  • SAP Analytics Cloud
  • SAP Analysis for Office
  • View creation and maintenance via a tool such as SAP Hana view, SAP BEX query or SQL
  • Evidence of ongoing personal development and learning
  • Coaching and mentoring experience of other team members and analysts  

It would be ideal, but not necessary, if you have:

  • Gained familiarity with a programming language such SQL
  • Gained familiarity with ERP processes such as in S/4HANA or SAP ECC
