Defects Manager - Tauranga
About the role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to enhance your career? We are looking for a Defects Manager to support our electricity team by managing delivery of Corrective Maintenance and reliability work packs.
If you understand electricity networks, risks and have a drive for improvement on works management processes then we would like to hear from you.
Main accountabilities include completion of works on time, reporting on works - both financial and physical progress, and ensuring all required documentation is provided at completion of each work pack.
You will be required to:
- Drive excellent health and safety outcomes
- Have a minimum five-to-ten year’s knowledge and experience with electrical distribution networks with regards to network maintenance, operation, construction and/or design.
- Formulate the scopes of work and manage external service providers to deliver high quality outcomes on time
- Have a strong commercial/financial acumen
- Excellent project management skills – with a reputation for “on time, “on budget” delivery in a professional services environment.
- Provide good attention to detail and a professional attitude.
You will have:
- In depth knowledge of electricity industry legislative requirements.
- Excellent communication, report writing and documentation skills
- Great relationship building skills with the ability to interact at various levels across the organisation and with external customers/contractors
- Strong planning and organising skills
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel and MS Project
- Effective time management skills
