Are you a skilled project management professional ready to take on a dynamic role in the electricity sector? Powerco is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join our Electricity Works Delivery Team and make a significant impact on the delivery of electricity works across our network.

About the Role:

As a Project Manager, you will play a vital role in driving the on-time and on-budget delivery of projects within the Taranaki & Whanganui areas. Your commitment to the Works Process, maintaining strong relationships, and fostering collaboration across teams will be the key to your success. Keeping project reporting, documentation, and statuses up-to-date and reflective of the real world is essential.

You'll need a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to following processes, all while ensuring open communication and project currency. You should relish collaborating within a diverse team, backgrounds, roles, and skills. Your natural tendency is to actively listen, share knowledge, provide guidance, coach, and elevate the team's skills.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Experience: Minimum five years in electrical distribution networks, with a focus on maintenance, operation, construction, and/or design. Knowledge of overhead line construction is a plus.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong commercial and financial understanding.
  • Network Expertise: Prior experience in network management and planning.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of on-time, on-budget project delivery in professional services.
  • Contract Management: Experience in project, contract, and bid management.
  • Results-Driven: A drive to meet goals within set timeframes.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to engage, motivate, and mentor team members for successful results.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of safety and contract management regulations.
  • Financial Management: Skills in project financial management.
