About us
A lot goes into powering Aotearoa New Zealand’s second-largest electricity and gas network. As an essential service provider, we have over 900,000 customers across the North Island relying on us to keep the power on and the gas flowing. Connecting with our customers, stakeholders and industry to build confidence in our energy future is core to the mahi of the Corporate Communications and Marketing team.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a first-class Communications Specialist to join the team. In this role, you’ll be key to helping us engage with our customers and stakeholders, thinking creatively about how to solve problems and drive improvement. Calling on your extensive experience in the comms space, you’ll help to build Powerco’s brand and external reputation, developing and executing strategies that see us present this effectively to customers, stakeholders and the media.
We’re looking for someone with the confidence in their ideas to proactively manage our conventional and social media presence, develop engaging content and support managers across the business in their external communications.
Of course, our people are important to us too and part of the role extends to telling our story internally and taking our wider team on our journey.
About you
To be successful, you must be a natural team player and networker who can engage with people on all levels and is happiest when juggling a few tasks at once. You understand media and external comms best practice like the back of your hand and are all about leveraging opportunities. This role will see you planning content for Powerco’s social channels and corporate publications, utilising your writing skills and creative flair often. We’re after a natural innovator who is keen to gather intel and isn’t afraid to deep-dive into analytics.
In addition to competitive salary offerings, you’ll get the opportunity to join a company that invests in its people.
If what you’ve read sounds like a challenge you’re up for, we want to hear from you.
