About the role
Right now, we're after an experienced Asset Engineer to take responsibility for our power assets within the Power Assets fleet team. The team has responsibility for managing our whole fleet of substation related plant such as switchgear and transformers as well as the sub-transmission and distribution underground network.
The role is an essential one for us, ensuring the effective performance, maintenance and timely renewal of a critical part of our asset fleet – sounds good?
You will provide effective asset management for Powerco’s power assets, ensuring that the fleet as a whole, and the individual assets perform in accordance with Powerco’s requirements over their full expected lives.
About you
Let's talk about you. Your experience in the electricity distribution industry or in a similar asset management role will put you in good stead to hit the ground running with Powerco. You'll likely have a degree or NZCE in electrical engineering under your belt. You'll also have a keen eye for the details and will be no stranger to presenting a report or two, or leading failure investigations in the field, along with our field crews. You’ll be motivated to use your skills and experience to work on projects which are future focused.
