About the role:

  • The Cloud Operations Specialist provides technical skills to support Powerco’s users and field service providers.
  • In this role you will deliver and support Public and Private Clouds, Collaboration and Productivity tools, and shared Infrastructure platforms. You will be the escalation for our Service Desk and provide third level support for both Incident and Service Request resolution. Continuous improvement and automation are essential to free up time for more value add.
  • As a Cloud Specialist you will also ensure colleagues are trained or coached as required as well as staying abreast of new technologies that can be used to improve our environment.

What you will bring to the role:

  • ​Experience in working as part of a support team that maintains an organisations IT infrastructure, ideally with cloud hosted systems.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Cloud platforms, in particular AWS.
  • Knowledge of deploying Infrastructure as Code, using systems such as Ansible or Terraform.
  • Extensive ability to support Microsoft Operating Systems and Azure products.
  • Having a track record of continuous improvement.
  • An understanding of maintaining monitoring platforms such as Datadog is an advantage.
